Secretlab has officially partnered with Blizzard to release two new Overwatch-themed gaming chairs, catering to fans of the popular hero shooter. One of the designs prominently features D.Va, a fan-favorite character, with a distinct pink color scheme and thematic embellishments that evoke her iconic mech. This special edition chair is described as being crafted from soft, breathable fabric, offering a comfortable seating experience.
The second Overwatch design presents a more understated aesthetic, characterized by a primarily black faux leather finish with subtle orange gradient accents and the Overwatch logo. Both chair designs are available on two of Secretlab’s popular models: the Omega and the Titan. The Omega is a modestly sized chair that includes separate head and lumbar support pillows, making it suitable for a wider range of users. In contrast, the Titan model is engineered for taller and heavier individuals, featuring a built-in adjustable lumbar support dial for enhanced comfort and ergonomic benefits.
The D.Va themed chair is priced at $400 for the Omega model and $450 for the Titan model. The more general Overwatch designs are slightly more affordable, costing $390 for the Omega and $430 for the Titan.
Unfortunately, for some, like the author who experiences paralysis, the fixed armrests on these gaming chairs can present a challenge. Due to a medical condition, the author relies on a power wheelchair and a slide board for mobility, making chairs with non-adjustable armrests impractical. While the possibility of using a lift to transfer into the D.Va chair exists, it is considered an excessive effort for the sole purpose of using a aesthetically pleasing chair, despite a general fondness for pink gaming accessories.
Ultimately, the release of these Overwatch and D.Va themed chairs by Secretlab offers dedicated fans a unique opportunity to integrate their passion for the game into their gaming setup. While the author hopes for future solutions, such as custom wheelchair cushion covers, the current offerings provide a direct avenue for enthusiasts to showcase their Overwatch allegiance through their seating choice.
