Dodge is ushering in a new era of automotive performance with the global debut of the all-new Dodge Charger, a groundbreaking vehicle that stands as the world’s first and only electric muscle car, and the brand’s first multi-energy muscle car. This next-generation Charger aims to retain its legendary status as the quickest and most powerful muscle car on the market, now with electrifying power options.
The centerpiece of the new lineup is the all-electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, boasting an impressive 670 horsepower and targeted 0-60 mph acceleration in just 3.3 seconds, with a quarter-mile estimated at 11.5 seconds. Complementing this is the 496-horsepower 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T. For those seeking an alternative, Dodge also introduces multi-energy powertrain choices, including the 550-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. powered by the 3.0L Twin Turbo Hurricane High Output engine and the 420-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK S.O. fueled by the 3.0L Twin Turbo Hurricane Standard Output engine. All Charger models come standard with all-wheel drive.
“The electrified 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack delivers Charger Hellcat Redeye levels of performance and announces its presence through the world’s first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, while Hurricane engine-powered Dodge Charger SIXPACK models will give the Brotherhood of Muscle a gas option that produces better horsepower and torque numbers than the outgoing 5.7 and 6.4-liter HEMI® engines,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand chief executive officer – Stellantis. “The next generation of Dodge muscle has arrived.”
Production of the all-electric two-door coupe versions of the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack and R/T is set to begin in mid-2024, with four-door electric models following in the first quarter of 2025. Gas-powered Charger SIXPACK models are also scheduled to commence production in the first quarter of 2025. All-new Dodge Chargers will be manufactured at the Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario.
These advancements align with Stellantis’s “Dare Forward 2030” strategic plan, emphasizing a commitment to electrified and more efficient propulsion systems to reduce the company’s global carbon footprint by 50 percent by 2030 and achieve net carbon zero by 2038.
World’s First Electric Muscle Car Takes Center Stage
The all-new Dodge Charger marks a significant milestone as the first fully electrified muscle car to join the Dodge “Brotherhood of Muscle.” These next-generation Chargers are built upon the highly flexible, BEV-native STLA Large platform, designed to accommodate extreme power output and adaptable suspension and powertrain configurations.
The all-electric, all-wheel-drive Charger Daytona models feature a 400V propulsion system that delivers V8-level performance with zero tailpipe emissions and instant torque. This system integrates a high-voltage battery pack, a dual integrated charge module, and both front and rear Electric Drive Modules (EDMs). The front EDM includes a disconnect feature to enhance range and efficiency, while the rear EDM incorporates a mechanical limited-slip differential for improved traction and performance. Each EDM boasts a 3-in-1 architecture (inverter, gearbox, and motor), producing 335 horsepower and 300 lb.-ft. of torque.
The battery pack offers 100.5 kWh of installed capacity and a peak discharge rate of 550 kW, optimized for maximum acceleration. Its prismatic cell structure and nickel cobalt aluminum chemistry provide enhanced structural stability, better thermal performance, and increased power density.
The 400V propulsion system offers six performance levels. The 2024 Charger Daytona R/T comes standard with a Direct Connection Stage 1 upgrade kit, boosting output to 496 horsepower. The Daytona Scat Pack includes a Stage 2 kit, increasing total output to 670 horsepower. Future performance upgrades will be available through Direct Connection Stage kits.
Charger Daytona models also feature an advanced regenerative braking system, allowing drivers to adjust the regen level (0.1g, 0.2g, or 0.3g) via paddle shifters to customize the driving experience and recapture energy.
Next-Generation Performance Dynamics
The all-new Dodge Charger is infused with muscle car DNA, evident in its performance features. These include a PowerShot mode delivering an extra 40 horsepower for Daytona models, selectable Drag, Track, Drift, and Donut modes, 20-inch wheels with substantial front and rear tires, the largest brake package ever offered on a Dodge vehicle, and a dual-valve semi-active suspension. Standard all-wheel-drive enhances the performance across all Charger models.
- PowerShot: Activated by a steering wheel button, this feature provides an additional 40 horsepower for 15 seconds on Daytona Scat Pack and R/T models.
- High-Performance Brakes: Available with the Track Package on the Daytona Scat Pack, massive 16-inch Brembo vented rotors with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers offer superior braking performance and fade resistance.
- Brake by Wire eBoost: This intelligent braking system seamlessly blends regenerative and foundation braking for optimal force and feedback.
- Wheels/Tires: The Charger features the largest tire package to date, with 20-inch wheels and staggered Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires (305 front, 325 rear) available with the Track Package on the Daytona Scat Pack. This setup allows for independent tuning of front and rear tires for enhanced handling and stability.
- Suspension: A multi-link front suspension with forged aluminum links and a fully independent rear suspension are designed for enhanced cornering performance, steering feel, and body control.
- Dual-valve Semi-active Suspension: Optional on the Daytona Scat Pack with the Track Package, this system uses advanced sensors and dual valves for improved damping, a smoother ride, and greater personalization across various Drive Modes.
- Drive Modes: Drivers can select from Auto, Eco, Sport, Wet/Snow, Track, and Drag modes to tailor the vehicle’s personality. Track and Drag modes offer maximum performance for their respective environments.
- Race Options: Exclusive to the Daytona Scat Pack are Donut and Drift Modes, alongside the return of Launch Control and Line Lock. Dodge-exclusive race-prep options optimize battery temperature for drag or track racing.
- Performance Pages: Similar to other Dodge performance vehicles, Performance Pages provide key metrics like timers, gauges, and g-force information.
- Body Structure: Charger Daytona models achieve near-perfect weight distribution and increased body structure rigidity, contributing to improved handling, ride quality, and reduced cabin vibrations.

Purified Exterior Design
The exterior design of the all-new Dodge Charger is a modern interpretation of muscle car aesthetics, prioritizing function and subtle nods to its predecessors.
The patent-pending front R-Wing, exclusive to Daytona models, pays homage to the original Charger Daytona while facilitating airflow through a front pass-through area to enhance downforce.
Daytona models feature a debossed “Daytona” text logo on the black lower rear fascia, alongside a “Fratzonic” text logo near the innovative Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system. All Charger models feature distinctive white LED front lighting and red “ring of fire” LED rear taillamps, with a lit Fratzog logo at the center of both front and rear lighting.
Fender badging clearly identifies the Charger Daytona Scat Pack and R/T models. A selection of nine new wheel designs, featuring Fratzog logo center caps, further enhances customization. Standard wheels include 18-by-8-inch Tech Silver for the Daytona R/T and 20-by-11-inch Satin Carbon for the Daytona Scat Pack.
The Charger boasts a pure widebody stance, with both two-door coupes and four-door sedans sharing a common wheelbase. An optional full-length glass roof enhances the cabin’s open-air feel, complemented by a large rear hatch that creates an expansive glass canopy.
Dodge offers eight bold exterior color options: After Dark, Bludicrous (late availability), Destroyer Grey, Diamond Black, Peel Out, Redeye, Triple Nickel, and White Knuckle.
Interior with “Attitude”
The dynamic, driver-focused interior design of the all-new Dodge Charger echoes the exterior’s clean aesthetic, creating a modern and visceral cockpit experience.
The instrument panel and console feature free-standing, wide-format 10.25-inch or available 16-inch cluster screens, paired with a 12.3-inch center display. This angled center stack creates a unique, sculpted interior with a modern technical feel, drawing inspiration from the iconic 1968 Dodge Charger instrument panel.
Immersive “Attitude Adjustment” interior lighting, with 64 colors and adjustable intensity, reacts to vehicle events like door openings and ignition. This lighting is integrated into a parametric texture that wraps around the cabin.
The performance-oriented steering wheel features a heated flat top/flat bottom design, paddle shifters for regenerative braking, and a conveniently located PowerShot button for Daytona Scat Pack and R/T models. A modern “pistol-grip” shifter and the start/power button are centrally located on the console, which also includes a wireless phone charger. Interior badging distinguishes between Daytona (all-electric) and Charger (gas-powered SIXPACK) models.
Standard seating is cloth and vinyl, with premium Nappa leather options available. High-backed fixed headrest seats with a unique pass-through are available with select packages.

The all-new Dodge Charger offers best-in-class cargo capacity with its powered “hidden hatch” and fold-flat rear seats, providing up to 38.5 cubic feet of rear cargo volume. An additional 1.5 cubic feet of storage is available in the “frunk” area.
Optional packages for customization include the Plus Group, Blacktop Package, Track Package, Carbon & Suede Package, and Sun & Sound Package. A standard Alpine nine-speaker, 506-watt stereo is included on Daytona Scat Pack and R/T models, with an optional 18-speaker, 914-watt Alpine system available.
Immersive, One-Touch User Experience
The user experience and infotainment system play a crucial role in defining the next-generation Dodge Charger’s character.
The free-floating instrument cluster screens (10.25-inch for Daytona R/T, 16-inch for Daytona Scat Pack) are a first for Stellantis, offering customizable layouts. An optional augmented head-up display (HUD) provides enhanced visibility. The standard 12.3-inch central touchscreen offers access to the Uconnect 5 infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and Dodge Connected Services.
A unique one-button press experience allows drivers to instantly alter the vehicle’s personality, with corresponding changes to the instrument cluster and HUD.
The optional Attitude Adjustment interior lighting uses new animation technology to communicate key driving events, creating a seamless light transition between the doors and instrument panel.
The patent-pending Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system for Charger Daytona models produces a sound profile comparable to Hellcat levels, challenging the notion of quiet electric vehicles and delivering a sound fitting for the Brotherhood of Muscle. A stealth mode is also available.
The Uconnect 5 platform offers a customizable touchscreen with features like SiriusXM, navigation, and Amazon Alexa. For electric models, a Navigator Charging Location feature helps plan routes with charging stops. Electric vehicle pages display power flow, battery regeneration, and charge status. Performance Pages are also accessible through the Uconnect 5 system.
The new Dodge Digital Key allows access via smartphone or an NFC Smart Card. The free Dodge app provides remote monitoring of charge levels, scheduling, and locating charging stations.
Drive Experience Recorder
Included with the Track Package, the Drive Experience Recorder (DxR) allows drivers to capture and analyze track sessions. This event-based recorder logs synchronized audio, video, and vehicle data, with options for drag race and circuit race recording. A dashcam function can be manually controlled or triggered, featuring a forward-facing 1080p camera and a USB port for storage.
All-New Dodge Charger: Range and Rejuvenation
The Dodge Charger Daytona R/T is projected to offer over 317 miles of electric range, while the Charger Daytona Scat Pack is estimated at 260 miles. Optional Level 2 wall-charging units and public charging credits are available through Free2Move Charge. Both models can achieve an 80 percent charge in just over 27 minutes using a Level 3 DC CCS fast charger, with estimated charging capacities of 9.9 miles per minute for the R/T and 8.1 miles per minute for the Scat Pack with a 350-kW charger.
Muscle Car Performance Meets Standard Advanced Safety
The next-generation Dodge Charger integrates a comprehensive suite of standard and available safety and advanced driving features, offering the highest level of autonomous driving features in its class. Standard features across all Charger models include Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking, Active Lane Management, Active Driving Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross Path Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Drowsy Driver Detection.
Optional safety features include Front/Rear/Side Distance Warning, a 360 Surround View Camera system, Front Tire to Curb view, ParkSense-based Camera Activation, and Turn Signal Active Blind Spot View.
